Competition rules

  • You are allowed to enter the competition with as many entries you like in any one month.
  • The winning entry will be decided as the one with the highest kudos vote of all those which have been most highly commended by the judges (ie marked with at least one commendation mark).
  • There will normally be two judges: The Editor and the previous competition winner, both of whom may commend any piece considered to be worthy of an award, and who may independently commend the same piece.
  • Where two equally commended pieces of work have equal highest kudos scores, the winner shall be the decided by The Editor.
  • Articles will be removed without warning or explanation from the competition if The Editor believes cheating appears to be taking place.
  • The competition rules can be changed at any time, even when a competition is currently in progress, in order to avoid cheating or manipulation of the result.
  • The Editor's decision is final.
