The Writers' Circle

I'm Deundrae. I've been writing for a period of time now when it comes to short stories--though I haven't the time to write with college coming--but I still have lots to learn before being published (I mean, we all have lots to learn, I hope.) 

When comes to poetry though, I'm still trying to learn the forms, how to rhyme, how to interpret poems, etc. When it comes to topics I mostly write about Autism since I have a high-functioning form of it called Asperger's Syndrome, and I have ADHD, so yeah, I'm different from everyone in my town. Mostly personal experiences with it since I can't write for every autistic person, but I plan to educate the public about it with my poems in hopes of people stop viewing it as a burden and the people with it as Rain Man or mentally retarded. If I can change one person's perspective of autism then I feel good about myself and everyone whose lives benefits with the Autism Spectrum Disorders. 

Hopefully, I think this site can help improve my skills. Any comments on how to improve my writing will be appreciated. And maybe one day I'll be a better poet.
