Someday I hope to be able to do that. Hi,
I'm Gate Keeper. I've been writing for as
long as I can remember. I'm a seventeen year
old fiction writer but mostly I'm a person
who loves to write. Maybe there isn't a difference,
but I don't think you have to love to write
to write. I think you have to love to write
to write with all your heart, to write a truly
great book that will capture a persons heart
and change it for the better, that will bring
tears to their eyes and joy to their hearts.
That's what I would like to do.
Currently I have one book finished but in
serious need of editing, about thirty on the
back burner, and I am working seriously on
my latest book, 'The Witch Of Ways'. I am
president and founder of the writing club
at my school. I love it, although it can sometimes
be very stressful. I try to channel that stress
into my writing, along with the love I feel
for my family and friend. I take advanced
English classes and keep high A's in it, A's
and B's in my other classes. My GPA is 3.6.
I want to get my PHD in English Literature
(I think) and maybe become a teacher. Religion
is sometimes a touchy subject with me. I believe
that if someone truly believes in something
that I have no right to say it doesn't exist,
and I really don't like it when people try
to push their religion on myself or others.
My favorites movies are Whisper of the Heart,
The Cat Returns, Kiki's Delivery Service,
Howl's Moving Castle, and Dragonheart. I don't
think I could choose a favorite book if my
life depended on it; I just love so many books,
and so many have touched my heart and made
me cry when they were finished.
Well, that's one aspect of my life. But let
me tell you about the real me. I love to write.
It comes to me as natural as breathing, and
I need it just as much. Maybe more. I have
one true friend, and I love her with all my
heart, and I am sad to say that sometimes
I take her for granted. I live with my father.
He is the most supporting and loving Dad anyone
could wish for. My mom is great to, and cares
for me very much. They are both very loving
and supporting parents, and I love them more
than anything and consider myself very lucky
to have them. I know not all parents would
approve of a career as unstable as being a
novelist. My inspiration comes from random
things, or from books and movies. I like to
believe I have my own unique style, but I
know my writing sometimes lacks certain necessities.
I love music, especially playing it on my
flute, though I know I don't practice nearly
enough. I also have my flaws, as does everyone.
I can be impatient, inconsiderate, and rude.
I am very sarcastic. I don't always appreciate
all the blessings that I have. I'm sloppy
and lazy and disorganized and opinionated.
Yes, I have a lot of flaws, but I am happy
I can see them in myself so that I may try
to improve as a writer, a daughter, a friend
and a person.
I chose this site because, for one, I really
like MyNovel. It has been a key part of my
writing. Also, after scoping it out for a
couple of days, I discovered that the people
here weren't rude, or immature, or constantly
nagging about this or that. Everyone here
seems like very kind, helpful people who give
polite and much appreciated advice. I'd like
to say I've kinda adopted everyone here as
my online family. Everyone have their own
unique personality that you can tell from
their writing styles. I am very happy to be
here and to know you all, and I hope you enjoy
my work.
