Wow. For idea 1, you can focus the middle on the challenges the two characters face, like traps the other group sets up, things the main character must do to stay safe...then end with a really tight situation and the leader of the gang dying.
For idea 2 have her meet the girl after the dream, then follow it with the horror event.
I don't specialize in that type of writing, but I hope this helps! Good luck!

I apologize ahead of time - I don't care for the first idea. The whole gang thing is sooooo overdone. You can do better than that - I know you can because I've read your work. The second one has something to go on but I think you're trying too hard and giving yourself a big mind block. Try a personal experience or ask some of the writers here about something that actually happened that scared the daylights out of them. ie....I have a one-drawer stand that sits at the top of my stairs. Every now and then I find the drawer open but it only happens when I'm home alone. So what's in the drawer that's so interesting to my ghost guest? See how easy it is to take one little thing and make a story about it?? Hope this helps.

Hi Jessie122,
I tend to agree on idea 1 being a hard one to turn into a horror story and idea 2 seems difficult. What about writing something where the horror isn't actually there but is driven in by the character themselves such as being alone on a cold night and they see shadows and hear things, which make them think something is there but in actuallity it is there own mind playing tricks.
They say the greatest fear is fear itself.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Gary
