I enjoyed this, Sourceling, . . . gives a nice warm fuzzy feeling . . . tho' I'm not much into poetry, I could see this written for a child, a newborn perhaps.

Thank you grampa...So good of you to come by and read, I appreciate and look forward to wonderful comments...yes, it most certainly could pertain to a baby, child, etc, or...soul mates, as with me and my husband... again, thank you...

Sourceling.
Very well done.
I, as you, am blessed with being married to my soul mate and I can feel that in the poem as I read it. Although its a short piece it has lots of depth to it. Not an easy thing to do in so few words.
Keep it up.

This leaves one with a tingling feeling. Is this the first draft or is that it?
Lovely.

I thank you for your comments Festerocious and ChrissieJo...and yes, that is the first draft, and 'it'...I like simplicity at times...but I do have an epic poem, The Carnage of Man...that is longer, and a bit complicated...lol...so I have been told...It isnt finished yet, but I have posted some of it ...thanks again!!
