GOD give me another season
I can’t give you a real good reason
I just know I have more to do
To witness and glorify you.
It’s not for me what I want to do
It’s all just to glorify you.
I want as many as possible to know
That you are the savior they owe
You are the one who gave your life
So we could be with you in afterlife
No one stops to think what you gave
Or the effort it took to be so brave.
If I were hanging on a cross dying for things I didn’t do
Could I ask God to forgive you?
Lord give me another season
To understand what was the reason.
Give me time to read the Bible more
So that my spirits may soar
So I can gain the knowledge I need
To be able to go out and spread your seed.
I’m not sure why you have let me stay till now
Or just how much time I have left to allow
My life as a witness for you to shine
And show others that you are divine.
So I’m asking for just one more season
To show others just what is my reason
That loving you has always been
Because you forgave me of my sin.
If my season is short, that’s okay
I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Your wish for me is all I need
Just long enough to plant your seed,
