When we fight
Why am I the one left crying?
With tears that trail and red rimmed eyes
When we fight
Why am I the only one hurt?
The knife that struck but bounced off your armour
When we fight
Why can I not walk away?
Curl, twisted on the floor
When we fight
Why are you the only one unscathed?
Whilst your vicious words linger
When we fight
Why don't you care what happens?
After you've walked out the door.

I liked this as it's a situation most people have been in -loving more than we are loved. I think the question posed by the poem is answered in the title of a recent movie -'he;s just not that into you'

well done!

It's very honest.
Really makes you consider the individual and that people don't just 'get over stuff'

Great poem. Really hit home as I could empathise with the experiences portrayed.

Good job.

I am fourteen, I've written two novels (nanowrimo anyone?) and many poems. Aiming to be published at some point in the vague and hazy future...but till then pfft. I'll keep writing for the hell of it.
