Courage is
not walking away
Courage is
a flag blowing in the wind
Courage is
the face of a starving child
Courage is
an empty chair
Courage is
opening a door
Courage is
each and every action.

Hmmm, "Courage is each and every action"... I take issue with this last line. There are cowardly acts and there are times when it takes courage to resist the urge to act. Allow me to suggest a different ending:

Hmm... good point, bobchoi. My meaning was more of a 'it takes courage to simply get out of bed' that kind of thing. The line 'the face of a starving child' is courage becuase they're not giving in- they're hopeful things will get better.
