Hey so I wrote this poem for school but I need some help finishing it!!!! I need one simple word to go at the end (indicated by the line) that sums up the poem - any ideas are welcomed! Thank you :) P.S I have to hand this in in the next week or so, so any suggestions before then would be greatly appreciated XD
Greetings old friend
You seem surprised
To see my once
Glistening eyes
Staring into your soul
Leaving an eternal scar
You thought you’d seen the last of me
Old foe you were mistaken
The day you took my light from me
Was the day I was awakened
No more body nor mind
Or debts to be repaid
I am freer than ever
But you old man are enslaved
Enslaved to guilt and conscience
That will haunt you till your death
Until the day we meet again
