As soon as she closes the door of her lair, she laughs so hard that tears dwells up on her cheeks. She will pass as a lunatic. Laughing and crying at the same time?
Who does that? Only people who'd gone mad. And she was now one of them.haha
Arabella kept her pacing you'll get dizzy when you watched her, on the comfort of her private office. The embarassment and fury was still with her.
Plus the fact that Kimball will call her in any moment to start the procedural meeting with him.
The mere thought of having him in a room together, though it's in a different situation and agenda, still, she can't help herself hyperventilating.
Just when she decided to run off, her assistant knocked on her door and passes the note to her. Talking about a "good" timing here.
"Come see me ASAP'' the note reads.
She crumpled the paper. She's still pissed and when she does, her mind seems not to be working.
With so much hesitation on her heart she dragged herself towards his office. He's still her boss.
Just now, it occurred to her that if she just grabbed the offer of her Dad way back before, maybe she's not in here, feeling like a fool. But she really loves her job; hence, she needed to obey his order. It's sucks to be her.

Inside that locked mahogany door, the air was very intimidating.
The cool ambiance doesn't hide the fact that her killing aura was on the brink of explosion.
Kimball broke the silence. They started talking like professionals and adults.
Mostly they talked about work related, as the senior manager Arabella was automatically under him.
And then suddenly, they were arguing.
"Why do you leave me on that room without even saying goodbye?", Kimbal wants to know.
"Excuse me?", she said caught off guard.
" You know what I meant, or maybe just a simple note, say, letting me know your name was?", He continues.
"What's this supposed to mean? ", she asked hotly
You know what, i'm outta here,.. SIR", she said emphasizing the last word.
Arabella readied herself to walk out.
Kimball stopped her and they continued the fight.
It ended up Arabella resigning.
She was sure on herself that if she'd stay they'll just argue and fight every time they meet.
Also she knows working with him is quite impossible. It will be like working with a demon, a very hot kind and she's tempted to play fire with.
Arabella felt exhausted and the need of taking some time off seems appealing.
She needed to think, relax and rebuilt her composure. Yes, it's just been only 3 hours ago after meeting him again, and yet old Arabella was threatening to come out anytime soon.
And she can't afford any of that on her new life. She's not sure if she can still handle her old self again.

Kimball on the other hand denied her resignation.
He doesn't want her to run away from him again. He's kinda tired of her game.
He doesn't want to play hide-and-seek with her again. He had no idea why he's doing it but do it anyway.
There something in her that makes him feel alive even if they were just arguing into something they both tried to forget.
And if he was just being honest to himself, Kimball accepted the job partly because of her. At first, all of these was supposed to be for his amusement.
But when he saw her face again, he wanted her more than that. Maybe he likes her.
It's too early to say but he loves to pisses her off. He loves that annoyed face of hers.She made his day more interesting.
He smiled to himself then continues his work enthusiastically.

Each day, Arabella tried her best to avoid him. And by doing it, drained her.
She felt exhausted.
She even took the stairs just to dodge his presence.
But there were days, where he seems all over the place. And the moment they crossed paths they ended up arguing.
People around them were kept in the dark and have no idea what's going on between them. They never shared into a single soul what they have against each other.
Weeks passed by in a whim.
They grew tired in pestering each other. One of them must surrender and gave in. They both stubborn and hot blooded to do that. And yet Kimball did.
They talked like an adult over dinner. They both agreed to start all over again.
"Hi, I'm Kimbal Montes", He said offering his hand for a hand shake.
His eyes are twinkling that brings warm to her heart.
Arabella took his hand.
“Arabella” she said simply.
They both burst into laughter for both being childish.
The old connection they already had way back was inevitable.
They enjoyed each other’s company. They worked together late at night. They attended parties together. They became so close that Arabella begin to have doubts on her feelings.
She knew how attracted her to him and vice versa. And maybe she likes him so much she doesn't want to end what they have. What ever it is.
And yet she's the one who suggested the no-strings-attached set up. The sex-only-and-no-heart- involvement-kind-of-crap.

On the other hand, Kimball felt the same way.
Arabella makes him happy and crazy at the same time. He is into her but doesn't acknowledge it.
Their relationship was too smooth that he's afraid to break the spell.
Every single day, he's looking forward to see her smiling face.
To hear her weirdest jokes and both laugh about it.
Every moment apart with her was nostalgic. He dreamed of waking up every morning with her. He paused the moment he realized the terrain of his thought and where is it going.
"Oh, God He wanted her in his life." Kimball said to himself with wide eyes.
