I played with this software for the first time last night. It is kind of cool. I have an adjective problem with my grammar. So far, I like it, I haven't been able to get to the nuts and bolts of it yet.
Spellchecker works just like any other spell check program.
Grammar checker has more bells and whistles on it than what word or any other software has. You can scroll over the word and it'll tell you exactly what it is. Which is rather cool.
As for the style checking part, I haven't figured that out yet. I'll let you know. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
PS. I'm at work when I wrote this, I didn't have a chance to put it through the program. But I shall when I get home tonight and do a small rewrite to let you see how it changes things.

. Okay. Forget the rewrite. The program stays open in any other writing software. It keeps track of
all your mistakes. It has a pop up window that will annoy you to no end. It'll pop up and give an explanation
of what you wrote wrong. If I wanted to edit while I wrote that wouldn't be a problem. It does show
you other things.
. The style of your sentences in this program shows up in blue, green is grammar, and red is for dreaded
spelling errors. I do like the color value on the different parts of the program.
. The built in dictionary is really cool. I like this feature, this will save time from having to put
the word into an online dictionary.
. You can check any portion of your writing at anytime. It's preference that I have noticed is to check
one paragraph at a time. Where ever the cursor was left the program will automatically select that paragraph
first, when you click on the little floating window that doesn't get in the way of things at all.
. Once the window is opened, if you click on a word it will bring up a replacement value for the word
you clicked. If you choose to replace the word, then you have to apply it, the program will automatically
change that in whatever software you are writing in at the time.
. You can translate the word into other languages right inside the software. It has a thesaurus as well
as an idiom program. | Shadowwritr [32] | 14/05/2009 |
That sounds fun. I think I'll give it a shot also. I was just needing another push to get it myself. You
are that push. ^_^ | ruminate81 [70] | 15/05/2009 |
