changing perspectives

Hello Everyone :)

I have a question about how to change perspective in the middle of a chapter

IE

---------------------------------------------------------------

Slowly Thomas dragged his hands and pushed himself up off the floor; shakily he brushed himself down. What's that noise sounds like heavy traffic? Thomas looked up and through the observation saw the EMDU. He stopped brushing the dirt off "Forget about the readings Jasper, come here." There was a little panic in his voice.
                                                            *
Foreign objected detected during non standard hours initialising counter measure protocols.
                                                            *
"What do you mean forget about the readings? And where's that noise coming from?" Jasper headed over to Tom.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there a standard method for this?? I've used an asterix to denote the change.

I have no idea!

However, what I think is important is to distinguish where the 'Foreign objected detected during non standard hours initialising counter measure protocols.' comes from. Is it a machine giving this information? If it is, then there is no problem to solve.

Thomas looked up and through the observation saw the EMDU. He stopped brushing the dirt off "Forget about the readings Jasper, come here!" There was a little panic in his voice.

"Foreign objected detected during non standard hours. Initialising counter measure protocols." Unlike a human, the voice of the warning system showed no emotion.

"What do you mean forget about the readings? And where's that noise coming from?" said Jasper, heading over to Tom.

I have broken up a couple of the sentences and added speech marks where needed. I hope this helps.

Thomas looked up and through the observation window saw the EMDU. He stopped brushing the dirt off "Forget about the readings Jasper, come here!" There was a little panic in his voice.

Foreign objected detected during restricted hours initialising counter measure protocols.

EDIT : This actualy takes place in another location and it will be flipping back and forth a few times...
