Because the air is thick with what used to be 

I can still feel that sensational rush
Because it hasn't died

I can still see what needs to change
Because I saw it from the start

I can still carry on like this
Because we've never really stopped

I can still imagine how it should be
Because it will be our reality in the future

I can still be that girl 
Because I am that girl

I can still love you 
Because I already do 

I can still take you where you want to go
Because I am going there too 

I can still care for you
Because I have never stopped 

I can still be there for you 
Because I'm standing, waiting

I can still wait for you
Because I know it would be worth it

Should that second line be 'Because I always did'?
Other than that some nice ideas - as far as content I just get a feeling that if someone proclaims that much the relationships probably slipped away already.

A meditative piece; perhaps just a tad too long. But beautifully written, and it expresses heartwarming sentiments.
