If I get stuck in my novel, I'll go back and reread from a random previous point. Invariably, I'll find something that needs changing, and I'll change it. Also, if it's been a while since I last read it, I'll be looking at it from a new angle, and that sparks creativity.
Also, I listen to music according to the type of scene I'm writing. If I'm writing a sad scene, I'll listen to sad music, and if it's a happy scene, I'll listen to happy music.
Friends are also great. Even though my husband hasn't read my novel from the beginning, he'll listen if I talk about it. Even if he doesn't have any suggestions, it helps to verbalize my dillemma.
Hope this helps! ;)

The bath - I lie there, shut off from the world, and just think. I also keep notebooks filled with overheard conversations and descriptions of people and places. There's usually something there to inspire me.

Notebooks...that's a good one, FE! I might try that.
Thanks! ;)

I have a voice recorder on my phone, if something pops into my head I speak it into the recorder. Also a notebook . I do a lot of eavesdropping on people (Not making it too obvious) It's amazing listening to a normal not particularly interesting conversation to get an idea of the way a natural conversation flows. The timing, the rythm interuptions etc.

Pictures! I love looking at artwork and listening to music- or finding random words in the dictionary. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but you get some interesting results from it. I use pictures more than anything though.

Don't shoot me for this, but I use anime openings as a way to get my creative juices flowing. Just watching them gets me inspired. It's not weird, just different.

I like taking the first sentence of a chapter in a book and then write a new story with it... it works for me!
Also, if I'm really stuck, I pick 15 random words and incorporate them somehow into a paragraph or 2...
