Lake with no birds by Mr Richard

There is a lake with no birds
Where the red gold grows
From bathybian depths
She has a face of flame
So kiss the vial of blood
Or the apses will snap
Make the calm sea violent
Giving birth to an island
And by all the chipped saints
And crumbling alabaster
You'll be an ossuary
With a lava façade

OOps silly me- my spelling mistake! I meant bathybian - relating to primordial sea ooze the stuff of which all life was believed to stem from. A word used by Conan Doyle in his short science fiction novel "The Maracot Deep."
