Long Lonely Winter

It's been a long lonely winter
And the snow is falling down.
I long to hear your footsteps
Through the snow upon the ground.

As the crystal mist surrounds me
I see the angels in the snow.
They turn to raindrops as they go.

As the rain breaks way to springtime
I wish that you were by my side.
For if we look into our child's eyes
We'll see the truth we can not hide.

For the only thing that you will see
Is a part of you and me.

To gaze upon the flowers
As they turn to catch the sun
And lay our child upon their bed.
His life has just begun.

A nice take on the theme of loss and rejuvenation in spring.
