The Writers' Circle

I wish for you to feel the depth and breadth of joy
That life can give.

To stand on a snow covered hilltop
And feel the cold wind across your face,
As the sun rises above the distant hilltops.

And, stand on the edge a vast ocean
With the sand beneath your feet,
As the setting sun sends its assure glow
Across the horizon at the end of a summers day.

I wish for you to have the gift of laughter
And, be quick of wit and full of mirth
And easy to forgive.

I wish for you to feel the silence of a placid lake
As you gaze at the moons reflection
On its glass like surface.

And, feel the depth of infinity
As you gaze upward through a sea of stars.

I wish for to stem hatred at every turn
And to always show love for your fellow man.

I wish for you to feel the joy in the embrace  
of a beautiful women,
And the warmth of companionship with your fellow man.

I wish for you to walk the earth 
With a proud a noble stance,
And face adversity with endless determination
And indomitable spirit.

To feel the joy of companionship
With the lowest of mankind.

And see the worth in us all.

To not fear the dark places of the earth,
And experience the confidence
Of holding your own in a fight.

I wish for you to walk the great halls of man,
And visit the ancient temples 
of some foreign land.

I wish for you to stand before your fellow men
And speak the dimensions of your mind,
And experience the power and influence
Of your intellect.

I wish for you to experience all that life can offer.

I wish for you to experience the expanse of emotion,
From the depths of sorrow to the heights of ecstasy.

For, emotions are the basses of our humanity
And the palette from which our lives are painted.

So paint your life with all the colors of the rainbow.

Embrace the wonder of your youth,
For within it all things are new.

Face each day with a sense
Of wonder and adventure,
For within each moment 
Can be found a sense of newness.




And, until the end of your days 
Realize that death is a one time experience
And should be faced with a sense
Of wonder and excitement
And not fear.
For, it may be the beginning 
of the greatest adventure of all.

Feel the warm and wisdom
In the eyes of your aged grandparents.
Realize and respect
The depth of the love your mother has for you.

And most of all
I wish for you to feel the joy of being a father
As he holds his newborn son in his arms
And proclaims to the heavens
That his life is now complete.
For, he has gazed upon the face of an angel.

All these things I wish for you.
For these are things that I have done.
