The Writers' Circle

There's a voice out on the water
that's calling out to me.
A message I must follow 
to sail out to sea.

The wind is up 
and the tide is high.
The seagulls give their cry,
To hoist the sails, way the anchor
The flags are going to fly.

There's a hand out on the water
That will hold you in its keep.
We'll sail away to ports unknown
And brave the briny deep.

Our only friends will be the stars
For they will guide our way.
We'll follow the moon in the evening
And chase the sun by day.
