Something I wrote for my wife as an anniversary present.
Not often I do poetry.
Karen is my wife, Amy my daughter and Adam my son.
-----------------------------------
Fifteen years have passed today from the sunny day we wed.
Not one second has gone by that I have regretted what we said.
That sunny day, those years ago when we swapped our golden rings.
Brings me to the present day, where I am thankful for many things.
Two children bore by your fair grace into this world we live,
Each bringing joy and happiness, and taking what we give.
We hand them love and share our lives with children of our seed,
Our job now changing to watch and care and give them all they need.
My daughter first with hair so blonde and a face so full of care,
With nothing sad inside of her, only happiness to share.
Her heart so pure, her head so clear, her mind so set and true,
The joy she brings and cheek she shows is what she's set to do.
My Heir, my son, my growing lad, my laughter and my smile,
His strength of heart and happiness, he gives without denial.
As he grows up I'll stand and watch his antics and his joy,
For he's my bonny lad, my very special boy.
The one I wed, the soul of mine, the heart and love of me.
Has given all, and gave again and is loved eternally.
She is all, my shinning star, my universe, my Sun.
For to me this woman is the life, my love, my only one.
