Casanova falls in love (A dangerous encounter)
"I told you, I told you, I told you" the voice kept repeating. "I
told you!" It was too late; his hands, the evidence of his guilt, were with fresh blood dripping. His inner thirsty devil erupted. Napoleon was a Casanova; he was the most talked about man in Rome. He was infamous for courting girls, winning their hearts, toying with their emotions and when he felt bored or that it had become a commitment he'd do the inevitable- break the girl's heart. All the girls knew what he was like but couldn't resist his overwhelming presence and charming personality. He took over their brains thus they followed their hearts and all made the same mistake of giving in. Every girl seemed to think that they were unique and important enough to change him and his ways. They deluded themselves into believing that they could win his heart permanently. He believed this was impossible, yet that wasn't accurate as it wasn't it was just improbable.
His deep hypnotic blue eyes complemented his dark, sleek brown hair. Napoleon was deceitful yet seemed sincere thus he was a rich con artist. One warm night during summer he had to attend a cocktail party, this was part of his weekly schedule. What he thought was going to be an ordinary night was not. His next encounter was to change his life.
At the occasion, as usual, he was always keeping the eye out for the opposite sex. He spotted his next victim; she was tall, tanned with flowy shoulder length brown hair and bright mesmerizing green eyes. He'd noticed her as she stood out in an eye-catching elegant yet provocative red dress. She was holding a champagne glass, networking with fellow guests. Napoleon suspiciously walked past her and narrowed his eyes which not surprisingly caught her attention which was his intention. She looked back and gave him a smouldering temptress look.
Later that night Napoleon spoke to the mysterious lady, "So what brings you here?"
She gently replied "I know Vinissi Gianni very well." Napoleon momentarily froze; Mr Gianni was an ex-friend of his who now was his foe. Napoleon had attended Gianni's party to make amends with him. Now he saw him as his rival.
"I see, how nice. By the way, may I know your name?" she cheekily responded, "Well, if you must, my name is Adriana, Adriana Jalapeno." Whilst smiling, Napoleon informed her of his name.
Months passed and Napoleon was slowly falling in love with Adriana, yet he didn't realise it. Adriana had a magic touch to her, she had a warm mesmeric charm and just like Napoleon she was overwhelming. Napoleon had planned for a romantic meal for two as he loved surprising and pleasing Adriana. He had the room filled with red roses and candles.
Previously, on the same day, Mr Gianni, out of the blue, paid a visit to Napoleon's house and made a peace offering and told him that he was fine with Napoleon and Adriana's intimate friendship. Napoleon thought this was extraordinary yet too good to be true but decided to take no notice of it. Napoleon assumed Mr.Gianni was being sincerely genuine.
Later that day in the evening as the dinner with Adriana commenced, he had made it almost perfect and she adored him for it. Adriana's eyes shone in the light of the many candles that there were. He suddenly realised that it was quite wet on the floor. Not knowing why, he didn't remember spilling anything, so this was quite strange to him. Napoleon left Adriana sitting contentedly whilst he went to get something to clean it up.
Adriana suddenly felt extremely hot. In an attempt to cool down she took off her cardigan. The heat increased. Adriana fell to the ground.
Napoleon a few minutes later apologised whilst walking down the stairs, for taking so long. He didn't get a response so assumed that Adriana was winding him up but then he heard weird crunching sounds "Adrianaaa, Adriana what's going on?" he said in an apprehensive tone. Still, Napoleon didn't get a reply he was by now suspicious so he ran down the never ending staircase. Napoleon screamed in horror as the dining room was in flames! Adriana was surrounded by angry red hot flames. At that moment he realised that he loved her and she was who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He had to save her. ..
He ran through the increasing flames and carried Adriana in his arms and ran from the burning heat out of the room. By now he was sweating even though he had only been in the room for a short period of time. Adriana suffered more and she was unconscious. The flames were spreading and he had no time to put the fire out so did what anybody would, with Adriana in his arms he ran out of the house.
Outside it was a breezy evening so Napoleon hoped the fresh air would bring his lover back to consciousness. He tried to look for her pulse but his hands were quivering so he couldn't find it. Adriana suddenly awoke and was gasping for breath. Napoleon was momentarily relieved yet petrified by Adriana's struggle to inhale so he, not knowing what to do, patted her firmly on the back. This unfortunately failed and she started coughing vigorously and then took in an immense gulp of air. Thus she fell into Napoleon's arms. She struggled to take grip of Napoleon's hand and when she did, he squeezed her hand back for reassurance she then looked into his eyes despairingly. Adriana shut her eyes and died in Napoleon's arms. He let out a sudden scream of loss "Don't die on me!! Please.I.I..I Love you!" he exclaimed.
It was too late Adriana had passed away and nothing was going to bring her back to life. Nothing.
Napoleon tricked himself into believing that she would awake but he knew very well the reality of the situation. He slowly let go of Adriana and put her beside him as he sat on the pavement watching his house and possessions burn. He had nothing left, everything was gone including the only girl he ever loved and ever would. He let out a scream of despair and started to clear his head by calming himself. Then he realised what the cause of the fire was.
He remembered that when Mr.Gianni stopped by he had a petrol can with him, which apparently was for his car. He had a coffee in the dining room that was half prepared for what was later to become the surprise for Adriana that Napoleon intended, the romantic evening. It hit Napoleon that he must have poured some petrol in the plant beside the window sill which was surrounded by beautiful small candles. As for the wet floor he had obviously dropped a bit on the floor purposely. This was just minutes before Adriana arrived so Napoleon hadn't had time to notice.
In a rage Napoleon picked up his lifeless damsel and fumingly walked to his rival's house. The corpse had now cooled; he held her hand tight not caring that she could no longer feel his touch. All sorts of thoughts were going through Napoleon's head, he had now wondered if meeting Adriana was a big mistake, as now he would be scarred for life. Cynical thoughts were going through Napoleon's head, he wasn't sure what he was going to do to his rival but he knew he could never forgive him and inevitably vengeance was the only option.
He was approaching the house of Mr Gianni, and when he reached it he lay down his dead lover on the doorstep and gently knocked on the door. Someone opened the door. It was his enemy, he looked him in the eye, Mr.Gianni looked to the ground then attempted to shut the door but Napoleon pushed it back open and grabbed him. He punched him several times whilst his enemy struggled to fight back but Napoleon had extreme power over him as he was in a fury. When his enemy nearly reached unconsciousness Napoleon took out a pocket knife and stabbed him directly in the heart, he continued to stab and slash his body and with a final brutal thrust severed his head. "I told you, I told you, and I told you!" the voice kept repeating. "I told you it was too good to be true."
