Broken Trysts By Gary Jarvis Cataclysmic disaster zone Trysts caught in entanglement Lines drawn form a pentacle Baffled lovers attempt to comprehend Their crisscrossed lives equal one too few Argument forcefully ensues Declarations of love fly frequently Not one nor two but three from each Resolution situated distantly Sluggishly creeping closer. One breaks down sobbing tearfully One leaves impatient with all One denies their situation One accepts that love rules all and regrets that agreement is lost One continues to argue with themselves driven to insanity. No realisation No true conclusion Except that the trysts are broken And only one leaves with their heart still whole Many are damaged, some irreparably so May this be a warning to those who love more than one.
