Road Trip by zion613

There's nothing like
The smooth speed of a highway
Or the graveled ruts of a long-forgotten road,
Rustic one-lane bridges,
Cows grazing placidly,
And horses racing past as I zoom by,
An old newspaper drifting in my wake;

The open sky above the open road,
And the thrill of realizing I've taken a wrong turn
And staying on it just because -
Discovering the unexpected around the bend.

There's nothing like
The poetry of a red light
Turning green.

I love the theme.  We can all relate to this.  Great imagery of driving along a country road.  Very refreshing!  "Poetry of a red light"... subtle and very nice touch.
