D T W M I R (Do Two Wrongs Make It Right?)

It was early evening in the London Underground. A crowd was milling around the

edge of the platform waiting for a train. I t was on time.

An umbrella was being carried moving along the length and behind the crowd

then carefully pushed between the commuters towards a fair haired young man in his

early twenties. The train approached the platform like a bullet leaving a gun barrel.

The umbrella pushes, there are screams.

A pair of trousered legs walks away from the platform as the

crowd jostle around to see what has happened.

The trousered legs walk out of the tube station the umbrella hanging

down by the side of the trousered legs, held by a gloved hand. Nobody had seen

what had happened, it looked like an accidental death.

A month later in a crowded London pub, in the evening there is a back view of a

dark haired young man in his early twenties looking at an unseen person sitting

opposite him. The young man leaves the table to go to the toilet, a pair of gloved

hands pours liquid from a small phial into the young man's drink. The man returns

from the toilet finishes his drink. He rises from the table, finishes his drink his body

completely obliterates the person to whom he was talking.

He steps outside and pushes the door open for the person to exit the pub with

him.

N.B. I started to write this as a T.V. script, that is probably why it looks more like a

T.V. script than a story.

I would like any opinions and corrections on this please. I am still in two minds to

leave it as a T.V. script or make it into a story. Any suggestion will be most welcome.

Thanks Jayeflo

I reckon you should leave it as a TV script. It does have that feel about it. Some interesting synchronies (is that a word?) going on - push of the umbrella; arrival of the train at the same time etc. It is very 'visual' in style. I'd stick with it in the same way.
