Wind Chimes

Wind chimes blowing in the arid summer night,
Hear the soft clinking of the sculptured glass,
Watch how they sway briskly to and fro,
Listen as the wind subsides to the once peaceful silence.

Glistening reflections from the morning sunlight,
Followed by a slight breeze, catches the still wind chimes off guard,
And their musical melody begins vibrantly again,
Their whimsical tunes stirring the hearts of every passerby.

Refreshing is the delicate unrestrained harmony,
Of the wind chimes' dance in the open sky,
Unaware of their power over the onlooker,
Who listens with anticipation for yet another unrehearsed encore.

Your windchimes literally jumped out of the page... I can see it swaying in the breeze, I can hear its sweat melody. Great poetry!

Well written, very descriptive. Windchimes are such graceful little instruments, and your words showed that well. Very nice.
