The Writers' Circle

The ocean is at my feet,
With life's dramatic turns I feel confused.
Just yesterday it was only you and me,
How could I let myself be used?

My tears are falling down, 
And my heart is shattered.
Yet my feet are firmly on the ground,
With his compliments I was instantly flattered. 

He can't hear my far cries,
Even when we're in the same world.
At least I don't have to sit through all the lies,
All he hears now is the other girl.

I won't love him again,
That's one mistake I won't be repeating.
However without love there is no gain,
My first love had been cheating.

So what if the world goes against me,
To another I shall give my love's token.
At least then I'll be happy,
But for now all I am is heartbroken
