"Honey, can you please run down to the basement and me to get some orange juice; we seen to be running out." asked my mother as she was making dinner. "But mom, there is a monster in the basement, he is going to eat me again." I said in a whinny voice. "Sweet pea, I'm sure that the monster won't eat you up if there were a monster in the basement. Here if it makes you feel better you can take some garlic so that you can scare him away." My mother said as she tried to encourage me to go in the basement. "Mom, everyone knows that garlic only works on vampires..." "Just go already" she said as she gave me some garlic and pushed me towards the basement. I went into the basement and never came out... poor mom never got her orange juice. You are probably thinking that the monster ate me again. Well he didn't, the monster ended up being a little puppy that got into our house when the wind blew our basement door open. When I said "and never came out..." I meant to say in time for dinner after that. Also mom never got her orange juice in time for dinner. Any ways I am all good nothing bad happened; but guess what... we got to keep the black lab puppy and we named it Shadow because until it ran up to me and tackled me all I saw was a shadow.
