Our little boy,
Through whom our blood flows,
Moment of creation followed by joyous birth,
We gave our hearts to you.
Hearing your first words,
Gave us laughter and tears of joy,
Your success marked by the distance you traveled,
We couldn't have loved you more.
Cheering at your high school games,
Graduation celebrated with family,
Your moment in the spotlight shown brightly,
We waved good-bye as you took flight.
Precious hours spent watching,
Your life's progression with its ups and downs,
As you searched for difficult answers,
We stood helplessly by unable to save you.
Our little boy,
All grown up into a loving father,
Confused and lost in the world you created,
We listened silently as you were remembered by the crowd.
