Summer Sunset

(This is a nonet poem. A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with one syllable).

I watched as the last gleam of summer
Peaked beyond the rugged mountain
Mesmerized by its boldness
Looking with sharp focus
I spied a red glow
Moving downward
Rapidly
I blinked
Gone

This is a wonderful way to structure a poem. Thanks for your excellent example. I must try it some time!
