Lillies in the valleys
Sunflowers reach the sun
Germans followed Hitler
And Hitler followed himself
Jews had their own ideas
And ended up in tears
Poppies now replace their graves
And falling leaves are like ashes
To cover up the truth!

Debbie, another excellent poem of your usual high standards! However, some might quibble "To cover the truth" with regards to the Holocaust is neither accurate nor politically correct.  To me, it's incongruence: Your theme is on remembrance.  There will be no remembrance without acknowledgment of some version of "truth".  Sorry for nickpicking.   Maybe I am reading too much into it.
