2B OR NOT TOO BE.

To be or not to be. It,s in the hardness of a pencil.
Whether tis nobler in mind,to suffer a broken point,
            or use,biro with stencil.

Or to take alm,s against a sea of troubles, and grind shavings to the
         floor,and by sharpening to much,
a pencil it be no more.
To die,to sleep,perchance to dream,oh faber castell,
           by sleep we end.
For in that sleep, that grafite keeps, trapped in a tree once again.

                           Apologies Bill shakespeare.

Cobham,

Personally, I prefer HB :-)
This is quite a humorous parody on Bill's Hamlet's soliloquy.

As for the "HB's" and "2B's", I'm not sure these days if the kids are still using Faber Castell (I know they are still selling them these days) but during 'our days' (now we are really getting old huh :-) that's what we used to write with 'exclusively' during my elementary days until Bic became popular (or until it became affordable). The spoiled rich kids used Parker nib pen and ink (wooooo!). Now if you'd say you used quill, then, you'd be ancient :-)

You have to use spell checker though, Cobham, but it's a good take on Bill's literary form of discourse. Hope to see more of your articles.

Loved this because it was fun and clever - I'm sure Shakespeare wouldn't mind

Now I know, I have been using the m/soft office suite word for sometime. I had no idea i could use it on this site.So now no more spelling mistakes just run it(copy/paste) to the spell checker. I simply was not used to a site where a spellchecker is not built in. Tip from me if you dont or never have used m/soft office. You can download a office suite called open office .org for free its almost as good as m/soft
word or publisher. It too has a spell checker....COBHAM.
