timing by churchmouse

The writing of poems ain`t easy
Even if one has the time
To find a subject to write on
and locate the words that will rhyme

If the writing of poems was easy
and I found a simpler way
to write the prose that I wanted
I would knock one out every day

Oh where is the inspiration
and why is it taking all night
Is it worth all the perspiration 
when none of the words come out right

There are millions of sentences out there
and thousands of words I can choose
It can't be so terribly hard
to find a subject I can use

I look at the paper before me
and see the words I have wrote
and realise I've written a poem
(and please be kind with your vote)

If you review other people's writing in the circle
any genre
something will make you think
or move you
a poem prods you
           ?
That happens to me
especially when I make a comment
because when you write you're thinking higher
