Where love is

i spent the day looking for love
walking the footpaths endlessly
driving the long road without thinking
where it would lead my bleeding heart
until finally the road seemed to come
to a place where i could find love
but i just broke down uncontrollably
until i felt a gentle touch.

i realized i was at the foot of the hill
at the shrine of mount schoenstatt
i ran up the hill to the convent
weeping openly like a lost child
looking for love, for that gentle touch
until i saw the face of the blessed mother
and heard a voice telling me...

MY CHILD, LOOK AROUND NO MORE
FOR LOVE IS ALWAYS IN YOUR HEART.

Hi Possum,

This is beautiful. Sad, but beautiful. You don't have to be looking for love in all the wrong places . . . 'love is always in your heart'. Well said.

Though you haven't profiled yourself yet . . . here we go, 'Possum', hmmm, 'Australia' . . . 'Mount Schoenstatt' . . . (fire up Google) . . . ahh, New South Wales . . . definitely 'Australia'. :-)

Welcome to the circle. You'll like it here. You don't have to 'look around no more' . . . ;-)

Possum, I love your poem. Think I could relate to this. God loves you so much. Have faith, always, for you will never be alone. He is always looking after for you. From libran88

Just reread
I'd bet it's reality
That's what I felt
Just want to know
why you "spent the day looking for love"
why you had a "bleeding heart"
why you're "weeping openly"

I like the lesson of love in the end

This poem was based on true facts. Every line was written the way it happened. And yes, the miracle was real. Thanks, mnmnI.

Thanks, Shakespril. This poem was based on a true story, so I decided not to alter anything at all. Everything was real, from the first line to the last line. A miracle!!!

We like this poem very much. We've been to Mt Schoenstatt. The shrine is peaceful and known for miracles.
