Who Love is

Are you the light
the guiding star
for one lost in the forest
or lost at sea
the constant star
I could put all my faith in
Are you the energy
that picks me up when I'm down
that lifts me to the next level
that sustains me in the thick of battle
Are you the light and energy
warming my heart?
You bet . . .

Hey mnmnl, I liked this one. Either your stuff is getting better, or I am now starting to understand it. (poetry normally leaves me cold) I thought that this poem skipped along quite nicely.
cute.

M n m n I,

Wow, I had to double check if it was you. To add to Churchmouse's comment, this piece is closer to my perception. Your previous postings were quite deeper and you being a poet extraordinaire, it is sometimes rather difficult to wear your shoes and get into your imaginative concepts. However, this one is on a level closer to my reality :-). It's excellent.

Btw, after reading Possum's' Where Love is . . .", you come up with "Who Love is". I can't wait for the next one . . . "What Love is . . ." :-)

Well
I guess love is easier to say
And we think we understand it
What is love?
That's harder to answer
and to write a poem about

Thanks for the comment, Grampa Pogi

Another poem, the third in a row, I think, I really enjoyed and which repays several readings. This poem reads like a rapture, a homily, wholly embracing the idea that love is-in-and-of-itself, all-embracing.

I liked your use of the 'guiding star', as a symbol of faith, whether in someone or something, it is enduringly powerful.

Looking forward to reading more of your writing in the coming weeks!

This is an excellent poem, full of analogy yet right descriptions. I hope your answer to your questions is yes and that you are experiencing them.

The poem was the answer to the question
"Do you really really love me?"
It answered the question with a question (or questions) and with "You bet . . ."
