A Runaway Dreamer

She was just another lonesome girl,
Trying to figure out the world.
She caught the midnight train,
To release herself from the pain.

Her search was hard and long
But she kept her hopes strong.
She tried to find her place,
Even changing her name and face.

She soon felt the first winter blues,
Feeding on classroom fools.
She learnt sooner than most,
That in life you are the sole host.

And that each life should be cherished,
It's just the humans who don't know it.
Enemies of dreamers chased after her,
But that's encouragement for a dreamer.

Every girl has her own time,
When the sun will only shine.
And then the stars will bow to her,
As her dreams are coming together.

Iram, I like this poem very much. It describes the growing pains of a young girl, her dreams and aspirations. We have a Chinese saying: "A young girl's mind is pure poetry"... how true!

Mind if I offer a couple of suggestions?

"Enemies of dreamers chased after her, But she was far from deterred."

"And then the stars will bow to her, As her dreams come together."
