This is a thank you to my friends...you know who you are. And the ones I described in the first bit - you know who you are just as well.

I thought you cared about my feelings
I thought I had your respect
I thought you'd be there through it all 
Since the day that we first met

You laughed at me 
You called me names
You wouldn't let me join your games 
So I turned around
I walked away
Though at the time
I felt it was a mistake

But then I found a friend so true
That kept my feelings out of the blue 
Who I can trust 
It never feels wrong 
A genuine friendship
Tight and strong 
You pulled me out of the dark 
When I needed it most 
This poem is a thanks to you 
For all the great things 
You continue to do
