Thanks, Mature Agent and Wolfy. I wrote this for a lady (her name is Kitty) for Valentine's Day 2008 and we were married on Christmas Eve the same year. So I suppose she liked this piece too ...

This is the song in your heart, bobchoi
with the third stanza for a refrain playing
while you recite and pour your love in this poem
Love it!

BobChoi,
The warmth of love shines forth from your words like a luminous gem bringing sparkling pleasures to those who read it.
Well done.

A nicely worded poem that unlike a good many other Valentine-themed poems does not over-sentimentalise (I think this is a word) the person or thing that forms the reason for why their writing.
Throughout, it keeps apace with the upbeat sentiments it contains, which again I think commends it.
As such, I am looking forward to reading and digesting more of your writing!

By the way, dear Circle of Friends, this year, Valentine's Day (this Sunday) falls on the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year... the Year of the Tiger. We don't need to be a fengshui expert to know what that means... it means love will rule like a tiger this year. So don't miss out, take the plunge, fall in love... you have waited long enough!
