Letting go by wild bill28

Sometime it's hard to let go someone you love so much
Whether it's a brother or a son. To say good by but is so hard
To know you can't see him any more no more kiss or hugs
Oh how you morn for someone you love to know this that what hurts.
I missed the last five years of his life and know I start to cry
Because I didn't get to see him in his last years if I would have known it.
I would have never left but you see that's how it goes you just never know.
Time is so precious and sweet oh how my heart bleeds to talk to him
To hear his laugh oh God why did my little brother have to die.

When he was born they started operating on him so little and weak
With the scalpel and the blade oh how they gave him so much pain
Then before you knew it he was twelve still going underneath the blade.
Well never give up I would say one day you will be ok
But now it is to late I never got to say those certain things like I love you.
So very much in my hart is were I will never give you up cause that is how a brother's
Love.

The days go by and turn in to mouths as they fly by no mater what
You well always be in my heart. I am glad you don't hurt any more
Pain and suffering is all gone now while you sitting with GOD.
Know that I miss you so much but that is a brother's love
It's the hardest thing I have ever done to let go and tell my little brother bye.

Hi, 
I'm not really into poetry but I enjoyed this piece very much it brought tears to my eyes, and believe me that takes some doing.  It is shame that you don't spend a little time with spelling and punctuation it would sound so much better. I know not everyone is good at spelling or punctuation but with today's technology i.e. spell check on word it takes all the hard work out of it.

Beautiful poem. I, too, had tears. Please check spelling etc. It is a distraction from the beauty of your thoughts. God bless you. You must have really gone through his agony to feel so deeply.

I agree, it is is a very touching poem. Again, a great shame about your spelling etc. but through all that you do have talent. Presumably this is a real experience of yours. If so, your brother, sitting with God, is very privileged to have such a heart-felt poem written for him.
