Once there was a married woman, bar hopping,
Whose penchant was head hopping,
She wasn't too careful, husband caught her a-popping,
And now she is, a single woman, bar nothing.

Poor thing. She doesn't know how to live life. You better take her to your Christian meetings.

Now that I've got you both here together :
uh-oh, do I hear a song?

"Love, is a many splendored thing, it's the April rose that only grows in the early spring, love
is nature's way of giving, a reason to be living, the golden crown that makes a man a kinggggggg . . ."(*)

. . . uhm, uhhm, sorry, got carried away :-)

M n m n I,
Mr. Goodbar . . . or . . . Mr. Goodwrench whoever *comes* first. :-)

Possum,
Well, I could take her *down* to our meetings but she *is* already a Christian . . . mom's Catholic too
and her dad's KofC (not KFC).

:-)

This is lovely cos it rings true.

Look again at final line. -: The 'now' and 'was' don't go.

?...and now she is..... Sounds better to me.

You may want to redo this if you still wish to write it in past tense.
