Evita's Song

How does it feel
to wake up in the wee morning
to a song in your heart? . . .

     "Ohh yeah . . . mmmmm

     "I finally found someone
who knocks me off my feet
      I finally found the one
      who makes me feel complete

      It started over coffee
      We started off as friends
It's funny how from simple things
      The best things begin. . . . "

Got out of bed
Grabbed a cup of java
The song in my head
I gazed out the garden

The cover sheets of night fading
The soft glow of morning bursting
Beauty naked unfolding
Overlying all the hurt
All that I must leave behind
I've forgiven . . . All's forgotten

And the song from my heart
wafting wafting
wafts a kiss with the blessing
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
And a new love
anticipating
anticipating

How does it feel?
Do you feel what I feel?

      "Ohh yeah . . . mmmmm . . ."

I feel it mnmnl, must be getting near to springtime. I don't normally comment on poetry, but I liked this. Simple, straightforward and with real meaning.

How's the snow in Scarborough treating you?

You're welcome MnmnI,

Snow wasn't too great this year (knock on head), it was mostly the cold air and lately, it hovered around the "oh, I could handle it" temperature. I heard there were more of the fluffy stuff around Washington DC than up north. Obama was considering moving the White House to Hawai'i and possibly *renaming* it to another type of house. Apparently, he hated living in an igloo. :-)

Let me rephrase the song...

"it started from walking home
with words left unspoken
it's funny how a simple kiss
the best things begin..."

How's that for a change?
Good one, right?

I think I'm starting to like the song. I won't alter the first part but I'll make some changes on the second one to make it more real

"I finally found someone
who knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one
who makes me feel complete.

It started from walking home
with words left unspoken
It's funny how from a simple glance
the best things began..."

That's better. It's more real. And now I can imagine the time when my addiction for sweets began. Yum.
