Father

You are not my real father
However, to me you are like one.
You taught me almost everything I know
To be humane and principled are values of core
To my country, you said love I must bestow
You molded my character in the best way you know
I haven't say thank you but to myself I swore
In due time, this poem will reach your door

Evita, a poem like this can only be written because it's true. Show him your poem NOW. Do not waste even another day!

Yes Bobchoi, you i are right i must not waste any time. I will just put the poem in a more presentable form so he will appreciate it more. He's aging, and yes. i may not have the opportunity. Thank you for your thoughts Bobchoi.

I loved my father dearly. But I have never hugged him or told him I loved him (it must be a culture thing!) He was healthy so I thought I could always do that later. Then he was struck by a van... dead on impact. It happened over 10 years ago. Now I can only hug him in my dreams. Don't let that happen to you!

Yes Bobchoi, (with teary eyes). It was sad to hear about your story, but don't worry fathers know that their children love them. He surely cherish all the good moments you had with him.
