The Writers' Circle

I write when the dark veil obscures my sight,
I write when I lie awake at night,
When a heavy guilt burdens my soul-
I write in the hope it will make me whole.
I write when I doubt what I really desire,
I write when anger engulfs me like fire,
When nothing at all seems to matter to me,
I write 'cause I can't afford therapy.
