Goodbye

You left without me
And the things you left behind
All those books and momentoes
Thing the family gave
Sentimental things that were forever

And now its hard to give away
As I glance around the room
Where things use to be in place
Things that didn't always matter
But full of memories

I loved you from the bottom of my heart
And said we would never part
Or so we always thought
But now you're gone forever
And I didn't get to say Goodbye.

This one I wrote whilst I was in hospital visiting my partner who suffered several heart attacks and whom we had been so close to loosing him and coming home thinking about things we take for granted, material things that seemed to no longer have priority over one's desperate hours.

I can relate debbie reynolds, I survived four myocardial infarctions and a quadruple CABG. I'm thankful I'm still around pounding my keyboard. I always say, another day above ground is a good day for me and always thank Someone above each day I open my eyes.

Thankyou my friends I'm glad that you were able to share my thoughts behind my work. At this time I felt so isolated and alone even though I had our caring familly at hand, for the first time in my life I really felt empty and frightened at the sudden thought of being left alone and try as I might I couldn't imagine life without him. God bless, and thank you.
