The surf crashes down,
inevitably.
And I wonder how you sleep
without me here.

I'm taken out into the deep,
and I'm screaming for you.
I claw at the darkness,
and you lift me up.
You are the stroke of lightening
that shudders life back into me.

The moon disappears,
inevitably.
And I wonder how you sleep
without me here.

You kiss my chocolate waves
that splay across your pillow and smile.
The sheets soak up the dawn.
This is my place,
right here with you.
I can no longer fly away.

The clouds will fade,
inevitably.
And I wonder how I ever slept,
without you here.

One of the best poems I've read in the Circle
Lucid, fluid and a wholeness to it

Flows as the night flies in the poem with faith strengthening

"The surf crashes down"
She sees him in her bed but he's not there
She wishes that he's feeling what it's like to sleep without her, like she's feeling without him at that moment
She longs for him, misses him; he is the energy that gives her life

"The moon disappears"
She's thinking about finally being together with him (". . . across your pillow . . . "), romance, passion and all, in the place that's Home
for both of them ("I can no longer fly away")

"The cloud will fade"
Inevitably, it will happen and she'll be happy
"And I wonder how I ever slept, without you here."

Beautiful love . . .
