The Magical Shoes (Part 6) *Updated

I was facing a room lit by stars that danced across the floor. There were plants with leaves that looked like arms, and they changed positions everytime somebody looked at them.
Voices escaped from paintings, and little bodies moved around in them. A stone fireplace was lit, and there were several tables and arm chairs that walked towards me. They even talked!

"Take a seat, miss!" said a chair. I had never seen such a thing.

There were high shelves with books. "Spells to Get Rid of Sickness and Injuries" I read on the spine of one book. I took it off of the shelf.

"Dumblydore?" I asked. "Could you use a spell in this book to mend my arm?"

"Not a problem, Melanie." He reached into his cloak's pocket and pulled out his wand. He mumbled some strange words as he waved the wand. I guess he didn't need the book - my cast had disappeared from my arm. I looked at it, and I noticed my arm looked completely normal!

"Thanks!" I told Dumblydore as my eyes sparkled with greatfullness.

"You will be learning all sorts of spells like that here - and even some like this..."

A hair brush appeared in the air, and it started stroking through my hair. When it finished, I grabbed a thick section of my hair. It was shiny and smooth.

"That's so neat!" I exclaimed.

When I looked around the room again, I noticed an old women who was flying around. She looked as if she was made of a silk curtain. Her hair was long and silver and she has pale skin. She looked strangely familiar.

"Hello there." she greeted me. Her voice was soft and gentle.

"Hi there! You look familiar to me..." I said, slightly embarrased.

"That is paculiar!" she pointed out.

I nodded in agreement.

"May I ask what your name is?"

"Well, you just did, didn't you?" she chuckled. "My name is Margaret Charlston."

I recognized the name. Then, it came to me! She was my great-great-great-grandmother. I told her this, and my entire story of finding her trunk, the shoes and the magic.

She looked delighted and interested in what I had to say. She grinned at me, and her eyes twinkled. I smiled back. In that moment, I felt like I was on top of the world. In a magical place, with people so delighted about my thoughts and words. Suddenly, I felt delighted as well.
