Hey, Welcome to the Circle! Looking forward to reading your work!

Hi, Bre. I'm Franki. Welcome to writer's circle. I look forward to reading your work. ;)

:) Hi, Taylor and Franki! :D My only problem is that I sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable posting my work on sites where anyoen can access them. As much as I think that the people that review them are trustworthy, there are people out there that will nick your work, and you need to be careful. =/
But I will be entering the competition. :) Is there any minimum/maximum word count for short stories?

. . . unfortunately, this might be true. To solve your problem, don't post your work, which would take you to another problem. How would the circle gang here know that your work is any good if you won't post it to avoid being *nicked*? Hmmm, reminds me of my dog chasing his tail (tale? :-)

. . . the minimum I'd tried was zero word count, and the maximum would be 500,000 (just kidding). Just post it, if it's too long (like some of my postings), nobody but a few might read it (depending on what's more important, doing the laundry or reading it). If it's short, everyone including the Knight of the Yellow Snow might glance at it and sometimes might just hit the *1/5* kudo button, just to piss you off or hit the *fantastic* button if they are your best friends forever. Or they might just give you an honest comment, no less. Bat whoo nose watt duh necks righter wood due?
Just ignore what I'd written above this line, I just want to welcome you to the circle, Breanna.

Hi Bre, I wouldn't worry too much about your work getting nicked. If anything, it may be safer to put it on the site, because as soon as it appears it is automatically copy-writed to you.
Carl (The editor/owner) is also very hot on plagiarism.
and if you don't show your work to anyone, then no-one will know if it's any good or not.
Welcome to the circle.

Hi Breanna,
Good to have you among us. I too, am much looking forward to reading your work. I am a relatively recent newcomer to The Writers Circle, and can say in all truth, for a host of reasons, how enjoyable and constructive the experience has and continues to be!
As your equals insofar as (I think I can safely speak for most of us), sharing too, your love of writing, this forum presents, through means of receiving positive comments, as well as honing your skills as constructive critic, offering the same helpful and encouraging feedback to others', an unrivalled way towards achieving that which we all aspire - quite simply, to become better writers! (What the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas memorably referred to as 'his craft or sullen art').
All the best, K.

Aw, thanks everyone for taking so much interest in me! :D I've tried to reply to this several times, but my posts have been too long because I wanted to reply to everyone. :( Anyway, you're all awesome. I will post a story soonish, when I have one.

None of us bite, so dont worry, if your work isn't so good, we will always give you constructive critisism, when I first joined, my work was pretty rubbish, but as I have improved, I have been really happy to see comments on my work say that i am getting better,
So, welcome, enjoy yourself, and write what you like :)

Aw, thanks, Jam. :) I'm sure that your work is fabulous. It is one of the most rewarding things when you feel that you have gotten better. I have dramatically improved since last year, and that's a big thing for me. It's possible, but difficult, and that's what makes you want to strive for it.
