Well done, GenieRaine.
My only other comment is on the second stanza
We usually get what we need, not what we want
We only have a few needs
like food, shelter, the shirt off your back, the internet
We may need a car and we get a car
but not the Porsche that we want

A GenieRaine poem in style once again
My only other comment is on the second stanza
We usually get what we need, not what we want
We only have a few needs
like food, shelter, the shirt off our backs, the internet
We may need a car and we get a car
but not the Porsche that we might really want
I think we get to the next level when we work for what we want
Good work once again

In the second stanza, I didn't mean that at all. Well, technically, Chris Martin didn't mean that at all since he's the man who wrote the song that that line is from.
It means, we go out and get what we want because we believe we won't be satisfied until we have it. But the moment it becomes ours, we realise that we never really wanted it in the first place, that we don't need it at all. When it becomes ours ... then what? We're still not happy.
Yes, we do "need" food etc. but that is a "want" in itself. We "want" food because we "want" to live. We "want" clothes because we don't "want" to be naked. These so called "needs" are actually what we "want" for us to be able to continue feeding that ever growing obsession with satisfaction.
The "need" I'm talking about, is the feeling that our lives are complete, to the point where we no longer "want" anything.

I guess everything is a want
Time and again, I would reflect on the line in the The Lord's Prayer
"Give us this day our Daily Bread"
I guess that's the ultimate and only need
since everything is given
He's given everything
I guess that's one of the ways He's present while absent
All we have to do is want His plenty
His favorite game is the egg hunt
looking for His treasures
on Easter Sunday
I guess I'm a theist
