Did you know. That life can be so very hard Did you know. You must never let down your guard Did you know. Those things can change so very quickly Did you know. In seconds life may turn sickly Did you know. Those skies get very gray Did you know. There's not always a way Because life feels like a rollercoaster So roughly directed Or maybe a nose dive By a plane, unexpected At times when you think And so strongly believe In something or someone They soon make you grieve Emotions shall come And so shall they fade Or disappear suddenly Leaving a price to be paid People change their minds In such unfair ways You go on somehow But healing takes days Hopes lie far off You need take the time To reach what you aim for Make that difficult climb But things do escape you Your strength soon is giving What happened to what you thought Was a dream, finally living How do you go on? When light is growing dim Do I even know. This is just who I am
