You are not Van Gogh's
But you are as pretty as his
Your colors are striking
Yet it rests my sight and mind
It's maybe the inspiration
Or perhaps his imagination
The creator does not need to mention
But to you I only have one question
In my house, can you be my possession?

Hi Evita, I read this poem a few times, and each time I read something slightly different in it. I am not the best judge of poetry, but I liked this one and read it as a message that you were sending to a loved one.
I enjoyed reading it

Hi Churchmouse,

It's so nice to hear from you again. The poem is about the painting I saw, I was enchanted to its beauty that's why I wrote about it. If you have an email, I could send you the pic. I bet you will like the painting too. =)

I could imagine the exquisite piece of art you've seen. Nice poem to descibe it.

Van Gogh or not
It's close to what you want
But I'm having different perceptions of the poem
Maybe it's one of those days or moments
when one takes a second look at a painting or a poem
I thought you're portraying a lover :-P
Nothing wrong with that

Hi Possum,

Thank you for your appreciation.

To MnmnI,

Even churchmouse thought it's about a lover, i thought that by indicating Van Gogh (Vincent) the reader will think that it's a painting, but you didn't, so perhaps i must do better next time =)

Nothing wrong with a poem about a lover who paints like a Van Gogh in the Sofa Mountain
Actually, it's great if it were so
Didn't know churchmouse had the same impression
I guess we subconsciously wish we're ala Van Gogh in the Sofa Mountain
and wishing our woman would express in poetry how great we are

No worries, Evita. You described the painting quite well in your poem, but if I were you I'd make a very good offer that the owner couldn't resist. I did it before and took home the piece of art that I really wanted. Nothing to haunt me for it's mine now.

Please don't get me wrong, Evita, but I don't feel good copying somebody's work. If you can't buy the painting, then let it just stay as the inspiration of your poem. Artists and writers are quite the same in one aspect. Can you see the similarity?

possum,

I do understand you, and i am not copying someone's work. My idea is to exchange works, his/her painting in exchange of my written works =). If course this will still depend on the artist if he/she will consent. Actually last night i met a lady painter in a restaurant in a premiere city in Philippines. We happened to have the same elementary and college school, unfortunately she has no available painting as of the moment, but it will be really easy to deal with her because she works now pharma company and some of my works maybe be useful to her.
