The shockhead tree

1st Voice

The acquiescence of the world to wanly frost -

2nd Voice

Such was the time that many a heart-profound yielded to despond;

1st Voice

And winter's tarra to the sun - and entering of numinous dark -

2nd Voice

Such was the time that leaves leapt from the tree;

1st Voice

Is ended -

2nd Voice

There are vivace chirrups from the shockhead tree;

1st Voice

At last - vivace chirrups from the shockhead tree;

[Birdsong]

1st Voice

The return of the chirm of spring
and the rejuvanescense of the world with shoots and song -

2nd Voice

Such is the time that many a soul yields to happenstance
and change; and many a mentality returns to hope.

1st Voice

Spring's vivifying cooee to the sun
and the repopulation of the shockhead tree with leaves -

2nd Voice

Such is the time when the sea shimmers most
and the morning dew is sparkliest.

1st Voice

Such is the time that spring wipes winter away
like a smear from glass -

2nd Voice

The return of the birds of spring
and the rejuvanescense of the world with song and shoots.

1st Voice

Such is the time that many new devotions are sung or connoted
and many a heart-profound yields to love -

2nd Voice

The bursting of the ready bud
and calming of the ragged sea.

1st Voice

Calming of the ragged sea.

[The gentle sea, morphing into birdsong.]

1st Voice

There are vivace chirrups from the shockhead tree.

2nd Voice

Vivace chirrups from the shockhead tree.

1st Voice

The entering of mutinous dark - and winter's tarra to the sun -

2nd Voice

Such was the time that leaves leapt from the tree;

1st Voice

And the acquiescence of the world to wanly frost -

2nd Voice

Such was the time that many a heart-profound yielded to despair;

1st Voice

Is ended.

2nd Voice

Finally.
