wow i cant believe ive finally started that book that ive prattled on about for soooo soooo many years. frankly i dont think that anybody really believes i'll start it let alone finish it!

so i would love to get to know all those writers out there who feel or felt the same when they took the leap to go for that elusive first book and what a wonderful feeling it must be when your book is accepted, published AND people actually want to read it! what a thrill !!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Welcome. The real joy of writing begins when we use words as if by instinct, but unfortunately this instinct only comes with practice. Just as reading to a seven year old is a labour but great fun when one is fourteen. Writing to a beginner is a labour but when the basics have been mastered a new world will open up and the stars will be your goal. Good writing.

Hi Ruby, feels like we've got off the wrong foot. I didn't mean there was anything wrong with saying a piece is wonderful and certainly wasn't doubting your sincerity. I wasn't even meaning to quote you, I was generalising. All I was trying to do was defend my criticism that had seemed to upset you.
Sorry for any offence.
Happy writing.
